Bayero University Kano (BUK) has officially released its proposed 2024/2025 academic calendar by the Directorate of Examinations, Admission and Records (DEAR). The academic calendar will help the students, staff, and faculty plan effectively ahead.

BUK 2024/2025 ACADEMIC CALENDAR: FIRST SEMESTER ACTIVITIES
The school will commence academic activities, and first semester lectures from Monday, 15th July to Saturday, 5th October (13 weeks). Mid-semester break will commence on Monday 26th to 30th of August, 2024 (1 week). The first-semester examination will start on Monday 7th of October to 9th November, 2024. The examination will last for 4 weeks. There will be a semester break that will last for 1 week, starting on Monday 28th October to Sunday 3rd November 2024.
BUK 2024/2025 ACADEMIC CALENDAR: SECOND SEMESTER ACTIVITIES
The second Semester lecture continues after the semester break. The lecture will run from Monday 18th November to Saturday 15th February 2025. The lecture will only last for 13 weeks before the mid-semester break. The mid-semester break will last for 1 week, from Monday 30th December 2024 to 3rd January 2025.
The examination for the Second Semester will commence on Monday 17th February to 15th March 2025. The examination will only last for 4 weeks.
Bayero University Kano will end its academic session on Monday 3rd May, 2024.
