Brief History

Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-ife, Osun State. remains one of the oldest universities. The University was established around 1961-1962. The Obafemi Awolowo University is federally owned University. The University was renamed to Obafemi Awolowo University by Ibrahim Babangida in honor of the first premier in Nigeria, Obafemi Awolowo.
